The Dumpling Sisters’ Dessert Dumplings – Design*Sponge

I am an ardent dim sum fan. Every time I go to a city with great dim sum restaurants, I go completely overboard. I have several cookbooks dedicated solely to dumplings, and have learned to make my favorites at home, but I’ve always focused on savory dumplings. This week we had the great opportunity to publish a recipe for dumplings by the London-based Dumpling Sisters, Amy and Julie Zhang, and I resisted the urge to do one of my favorite classics — and opted instead for Glutinous Rice Dessert Dumplings which are served in ginger broth. One of the reasons I chose this recipe is because it can be personalized, and because I found it unique! I hope you try it, make it to fit your palate, and love it! —Kristina
